Logitech Game Controllers

Logitech is one company that takes it's game controllers very seriously. They have been producing game controllers for a long time now, since the beginning of computer gaming as we know it, and have always been at the forefront of game controller features and functionality.
From the basic
joystick which is anything but basic, to the full on gaming system with dedicated throttles, brakes,
steering wheels, and all the equipment that you might find in the actual real life vehicle or situation, and they have a control for it all.

With the release of their new gameboard, Logitech has taken custom and programmable game play with a game controller to new levels. The G13 Advanced Gameboard has en ergonomic design, programmable keys, custom backlighting for night and lights-out play, portable profiles to provide custom setup on the go, and even a small communications center with game play info and info from other players. Logitech even offers a Special Developers Kit for their open source community for those who want to get down to the nuts and bolts of their gaming and game controller experience.
It comes as no surprise that they also make the instruments for the wildly successful
Guitar Hero series, which includes a drum kit.
Cross-platform game controller

For those who are looking for a gamepad that works across both Windows and Mac operating systems, this can be a tricky proposal. There aren't many that work for both, but Logitech has a solution that they claim is cross-platform. The Logitech Dual Action Gamepad isn't something that Logitech takes any space on their web site to brag about being cross-platform, even though the market seems to be begging for one. Reviews for the controller seem to be mixed, so I guess they are trying to avoid promoting an accident.
Reviews indicate that the controller will work for a little while and then konk out, or that certain functions aren't responsive, with the greatest number of problems centered on the D-pad.
