Game Controllers and Gaming Accessories for the Playstation, PS2 and PS3
A number of controllers have been developed for the Playstation, including the Sixaxis and DualShock game controllers, the Logitech Driving Force and Logitech Precision game controller, the BD Remote, and even the PlayStation Eye camera.
Playstation Eye

Controllers for the PS3 are branching out from traditional game controller types to include other forms of "controlling the game" as games get more and more feature rich and complex, and to be able to include a video camera in the list is an amazing direction for gaming to take. The eye is an important element of online gaming since it allows the user to send voice and audio to the network, but also for gaming interactions and certain gaming features that require the game know where the user is and what the user is doing.
Sixaxis Game Controller
The Sixaxis controller allows gamers to control movement by tilting and moving the game controller about a center axis as one might control the movements of a place; tilt up to move up, etc.
DualShock Game Controller

The controllers that have force-feedback are really cool, in that the game now controls the game controller. When the feedback signal is triggered by the game, the controller receives a command to power a small motor that has an unbalanced weight mechanism, so when the motor spins, the unbalanced energy is transferred to the game controller case and it is perceived as vibration.
Sony releases new motion game controller
Sony unveils their new motion game controller at the Game Developers Conference in June 2010 to rival high expectations and competition from the
Wii, which has a solid footprint in the motion gaming market.
The controller goes on sale Fall 2010. Initial reactions were less than stunned, with comments that suggested that Sony had the opportunity to release something cool and innovative for which they are known, but it doesn't seem to be anything new or exciting. Having said this, Sony does have a need for this kind of controller, and whether the product is innovative, it will help keep Sony fans from migrating to the Wii to experience games that require that method of game controller.
